COMPONENT SOURCING FAQ
Clear answers before you place an order.
How Chain Technology handles catalogue listings, quotations, BOMs, date codes, packaging, traceability, inspection and alternative-part enquiries.
01Do your product listings mean the parts are physically in stock?+
No. Catalogue listings show representative sourcing capability. Availability, quantity, price, lead time and location are checked for each enquiry and confirmed in the quotation.
02What information should I send for a quotation?+
Please send the exact manufacturer part number, required quantity, target delivery date and any requirements for date code, packaging, traceability or inspection.
03Can I submit a complete BOM?+
Yes. A BOM can be submitted for consolidated review. Include manufacturer names, exact MPNs, quantities and acceptable alternatives where available.
04How do you confirm date code and packaging?+
Date code and packaging requirements are reviewed during sourcing and stated with the quotation or pre-order confirmation. Packaging suffixes should be checked against the manufacturer ordering information.
05Can traceability documents be requested?+
Yes. Tell us which documents your project requires. Availability and scope vary by supply option and are confirmed before order.
06Is inspection available?+
Inspection support can be requested. The method, sample size, evidence and responsible inspection party must be agreed before order because requirements differ by component and project.
07Do you guarantee that every listed part is factory original?+
No blanket claim is made for a catalogue listing. Requested source, condition, documentation and inspection requirements are confirmed for the specific quotation before an order is accepted.
08Can you help with obsolete or constrained components?+
Yes. Send the original MPN and application constraints. We can review sourcing options and, where appropriate, discuss possible alternatives for customer engineering approval.
09Can you recommend a drop-in replacement?+
We can help identify candidate cross-references, but the customer must review datasheets, qualification requirements and application suitability before approving a substitution.
10Which delivery services can be used?+
Carrier and shipping arrangements are confirmed with the order. Common options may include DHL, UPS and SF depending on destination and shipment requirements.
11How quickly will you respond?+
The website response target is within one business day. Complex BOMs, documentation checks and constrained parts may require additional review time.
12How should a quality concern be reported?+
Contact Chain Technology promptly with the order reference, affected quantity, labels, packaging photos and clear evidence of the issue so the case can be reviewed.
